Totem Energy Reading for the Day

Today's totem reading is a quite surprising juxtaposition. Our Animal Spirit Guide today is the Mountain Lion, With the Moon Transiting through Leo (9/25/16-9/27/16).

You would think the two together would share a similar message but it's quite the opposite. both have a message that compliments the other, but the messages are quite different at the same time.

The young Mountain Lion learns through trial and error, ever so clumsy, over shooting their prey and at times falling all over themselves. When young they have not fully realized their power. In this phase they can be quite loud and obnoxious. Much like our Moon sign Leo.

But as they grow they learn the gift of discernment, and agility. In time they come to know the fullness of their true power. The Mountain Lion is truly an amazing hunter, its grace and agility are what gives it its stealth. We must think of the Mountain Lion as a gentle hunter. As an adult he or she does not tramp and bash through its daily life. They use acute discernment with every step they take.

When Mountain Lion has come to us he speaks of our personal growth. As cubs we were clumsy, but through failure we learned and grew. Learning the lesson of failure has given us the knowledge we now need to step forward and achieve our goals. Mountain Lion speaks of doing this with an air of discernment,not to just jump in head first like we did when we were young, but to now plan our every step as we move forward.

When Mountain Lion comes to us it is a sign that our waiting time is over and it is time to take action. It is time to assert yourself. The time of putting off life is over, procrastinating and putting it off until tomorrow is no longer an option. Even though you may just be putting one paw in front of the other, it is now time to move forward. You may not be leaping headstrong, but slowly and meticulously moving into your life path. And remember when mountain line comes it is also a sign of change.

Now to put an interesting twist into this. Our lovely Moon now transits through the sign of Leo, the forever child. Leo is the epitome of our inner child, his ever loving and oh so generous in life. Leo has the ability to love immensely which at times can be hard, because Leo's pride keeps him from wallowing in the pettiness of life but at the same time this makes it difficult for Leo to express his true and deepest emotions. So Leo has become one of the greatest actors upon the stage of life, for Leo loves its drama, and Leo loves to play.

This is the part of Leo that comes into juxtaposition with Mountain Lion. Leo's adventuress heart wants to leap head first into the adventure of life where Mountain Lion says to Slow Down and plan your next move, and when you have that next move planned just right, it is time to pounce in and achieve that goal. Leo brings the courage and the pride to know that your power is there and you can and will succeed, while Mountain Lion is there to bring you the discernment to know exactly what your next step should be.

Like I said they complement each other but are still at odds with each other, for Leo represents the Young Mountain Lion.

So it is time to take action in your life, now is the perfect time to take that next well planed out leap. And yes you will land on your feet.
