Totem Energy Reading for the Current Moon Phase.
Today's Energy Totem reading for our current Moon Phase is quite light and Airy. We have the Grey Kangaroo leaping into our lives with our lovely Moon transiting through Gemini starting 10/19/2016 - 10/21/2016 where she starts her transit through Cancer.
When the Moon transits through the sky with Gemini it is not like with the other signs. With many signs we can see her transit as a dance, but with Gemini it is much more playful. They do not dance, they play. Gemini brings us a very light energy, more than just a breath of fresh air, Gemini carries the energy of discovery. What is the energy of discovery? Remember your youth, and how things tasted, smelled, and felt different, Gemini is that energy.
Gemini reminds us to keep things light and airy as they play with the Moon in the sky's above, remember you're about to begin an adventure and there is room or time for those things that will weigh your heart down. Gemini does not mean to be cold and heartless, but they are there to help you to step out of your daily life help you to bring out your inner child so it can play as well. While Gemini is here to play they bring a restless energy, lighting a fire under your backside to get you moving. This is a great time to reconnect with your tribe, either one on one with a cup of something to warm your soul, or a get together with your tribe full of smiles and laughter.
Also another side to Geminis energy is that of the search for knowledge. Gemini loves to learn, they have a deep ingrained curiosity for understanding all things in life. Many view people who carry the sign of Gemini as flighty or ditsy, but that is farthest from the truth. People who carry the sign of Gemini tend to be extremely intelligent, but they don't feel the need to wave it around in others faces. One of Gemini's Favorite things to do is to grab a stack of books and dive in, be it a great novel to lose oneself in a grand research project for their next great creation.
For those creative types out there Gemini brings to you inspiration, all you need to do is break away and allow them to take you down the rabbit hole that is creative expression. Remember keep it light and airy, make it to deep and Gemini may help to change the direction you were going. One thing is Gemini has the attention span of a squirrel and if it finds itself going in circles it may nip you in the butt, for what fun is it to obsess over and over something, they are here to play not wallo.
Remember Light and Airy is the way of Gemini, whatever you're doing make sure it's something you are enjoying, if you can. If you're stuck in a situation that brings you grief Gemini reminds you there is humor in every moment. Maybe it's time to start looking at moments and changing how you see things. If you're in a moment that is hard, force a smile, and not a fake smile. Remember as you smile it changes the way people see you, and those who are stuck in a super negative moment will avoid a smile, also smiles are like yawns, they can become contagious and cause laughter for no reason. So look at like a game, smiling in a crappy situation where you have a butt head for a boss or a coworker who is difficult can be interesting, and at times absolutely hilarious. See where the smile goes, it can change their mood or creep them out. Have fun with it.

As with all Kangaroos they hop or leap every where they go, using their tail like a rudder guiding them through the air. This is probably the most iconic imagery of the Kangaroo, it is a lesson teaching us that when we encounter obstacles in life we must leap over them. Remember the more energy you give them the more control they have over you. So when you treat an obstacle like a mountain that must be conquered, you then waste much energy on it, allowing it to have control over your life. It truly is teaching you to have faith in yourself that you can make that leap.
Now the Grey Kangaroo is a tribal animal, they teach the value of having a tribe whether that tribe is by choice or by blood it matters not. As humans we forget the importance of having a tribe. We get lost in all the things we fill our life with, and the more and more we become disconnected from our tribes the deeper we slip into our minds leading to loneliness and at time depression. Even those who consider themselves introverts still need human contact from time to time, it's part of who we are. Kangaroo reminds us of the importance of the tribe, and our place within it. When the Grey Kangaroo come to us it says it may be time to pick up that phone and get in touch with your tribe, spend some time, enjoy each other. You may be able to find a movie that makes you laugh but laughing alone just isn't the same, the energy is nowhere hnre the same. Group laughter is extremely healing, laughter outside of a group is like soda without the bubbles, it's a bit flat..
Another gift the Grey Kangaroo brings is that of abundance and fertility in life. Not the type of fertility that brings babies into the world, but of many other things. The Kangaroo is almost always fertile. She says though you may be lacking in one area in life if you open your eyes and see past the “wants” you will see the resources that lay in front of you. She says to Keep It Simple! If we complicate life with a million rules and details we place upon ourselves, we leave no room for abundance to hop into our life. For when the Grey Kangaroo Hops in it brings the energy of abundance. Ask yourself is there room in my life to allow the abundance to flow in.
The Grey Kangaroo is an extremely adaptable animal. It has learned to live in most environments it encounters, be it meadows or fields, even lower valleys and at times urban surroundings. She always finds a way to survive and thrive. Remember she leaps over what stands in front of her. She can also rapidly change direction when needed, turning 180 degrees in one hop, teaching us that sometimes an obstacle does not need hopping over, sometimes we need to change the direction we are going.
Now mix Gemini and Kangaroo together. What message do they bring? Gemini says to keep things light and airy, and Kangaroo says to keep things simple, do not complicate your life right now. They remind us of the importance of our tribe, our friends, our family, whether the family is by blood or by choice. Both say to enjoy the adventure in life, Gemini brings a very light and poppy energy, full of adventure and Kangaroo helps to turn it up a notch. Kangaroo does not slowly move along, she hops and leaps along.
This is very much a playful energy, something to lighten your heart and clear your mind. You can use this energy to create with or to dive into a good book and let yourself go deep into the story giving your soul a break from the worries of this world. Above all they want to see you enjoy the energy they bring you. They bring you the energy of increase and abundance, you have to make the choice to make room in your life to let the abundance flow to you. Remember negative energy is much heavier than positive energy, and abundance can not flow into a person's life when they surround themselves with negativity. Pity parties, anger and self loathing make the best walls in the world. These are walls that abundance can not flow through or around.
